We all know Nick is a major Disney adult, but you might be surprised to hear I’m not quite there yet. Why do I agree to go back over and over if I don’t love it like Nick does? The thing is I do love it, just for different reasons. I appreciate the magic and nostalgia, but what keeps me coming back is the consistency and variety. Those are pretty broad, so let’s go over some examples.
Lodging
No matter what type of vacation I’m on (Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, etc.), I know my room is going to be clean and functional. I’ve stayed in a variety of room types from value to deluxe and cruise ships to villas and have never been disappointed. There is an option for every price point and party size – and I know that each will meet the same Disney standard.
Food
I’m a pretty adventurous eater, and I’m often traveling with someone who prefers a strict American diet *cough* Nick *cough*. Whether we’re at the resort, shopping at Disney Springs, or getting hangry in the parks (that last one is on me), we can always find something that satisfies the whole party. I’m never worried about going hungry, wasting money on food I don’t enjoy, or eating the same thing multiple times.
Transportation
When I’m at the parks, I really appreciate the multitude of transportation options that run consistently. Often times there is more than one choice on how to get from point A to point B. If I’ve paid for a park hopper ticket, I don’t want to make sure I maximize my time in the park, not wait around and feel stuck.
Ultimately, I love Disney because I know I’m going to have a positive experience without having to do the same things over and over. And even more importantly, I feel like I getting my money’s worth. At minimum, my expectations are met on every trip, though often exceeded, and I’ve noticed that to be true for the friends and family we bring along as well.
